Vivére on Dorcas is an imposing architecture that defines the pinnacle of living in the microcosm of the world, Melbourne. Soaring above the Voco Hotel South Melbourne, Vivére is a collection of 36 upscale residences that adeptly echo the Latin roots of its name, “to live” – a true calling for new residents to experience every dimension of vibrancy this most enviable postcode has on offer.
Vivére is a revered collaboration between Plus Architect’s director-architect Jessica Liew and interior designer Ivona Golubovic.
Raising to the challenge of presenting a 20-storey building of note between existing towers, and harnessing the exquisite sightline from the east to west, the answer took form in a stately sculptural façade distinguished by elegant curves and segments. Celebrating the urban landscape of its South Melbourne location and with a subtle nod to historic Melbourne, the lower podium level is clad in bluestone.
Behind the stately exterior, the inside emulates an artist’s mind, with suites sympathetically designed for living comfort while carrying an alluring sense of sophistication.
Definition of elegance, minimalistic, yet enriched
An architectural composition based on elements of horizontal and vertical planes, curved to add depth and regality, Vivére is a balance of asymmetrical symmetry. The design prioritises light-filled, practical, considered spaces that denote the meaning of home in an elevated or opulent package.
